1. What qualities do you think a person would need to have to do really well in your role?
They would need to have dedication, motivation and the will to succeed.
2. Do you feel that, as your employer, Commonwealth Bank is committed to helping you learn more and grow your skills? How so?
Definitely. Ongoing coaching with managers is a huge focus. Development plans and career goals are always discussed with actions in place to help you achieve those. Our Human Resources (HR) intranet is also always updated with jobs available, and the HR department is always there to discuss and job position questions.
3. Do you find your job challenging and interesting? If so, which parts?
Yes it’s challenging at times, particularly with sales targets. But I enjoy the challenge. Meeting and exceeding the challenge makes the job worth the effort put in. We have regular team meetings, as well as regular manager’s meetings and these offer a great chance for us to set our actions for the week, review what has/hasn’t worked, share best practice and work together as one team.
4. If you could sum up the culture of Retail Banking Services in one word, what would it be?
Passionate.
