Summer recruitment program

SummerConnect: 7th December 2009 - 12th February 2010

The Commonwealth Bank's SummerConnect program provides the opportunity to work with an organisation that has the largest customer base and the most comprehensive financial services distribution network of any Australian bank.

Each year the Commonwealth Bank offers opportunities for university students in their second last year of an undergraduate degree to gain an insight into the Financial Services industry. Positions are generally only available in Sydney CBD and Metropolitan Areas as well as Brisbane and Melbourne.

As a Summer Employee you will have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the area in which you are placed. This 10 week program is designed to give you a snapshot of the Commonwealth Bank Group and can provide a natural progression into our 2011 Graduate Programs.

Meet the SummerConnect team!

We will be attending vacation careers days around Sydney! This is an excellent opportunity to not only meet the SummerConnect team but also chat with current graduates who have experienced the SummerConnect program. What a previous SummerConnect participant said about the program:

"Deciding to apply for an internship at CBA was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In my internship I was exposed to exciting and challenging projects that have added value to the bank. I was given responsibility and recognised for my efforts. CBA has a great culture which made my time very fun and enjoyable. During my internship I was offered a permanent position and have also secured a position on the 2009 Graduate Program."
