We are Australia’s most accessible bank, operating the largest financial services distribution network in the country. This includes over 1,000 branches, more than 3,800 agencies and 832 Woolworths EzyBanking outlets, supplemented by telephone and Internet banking facilities available 24 hours, 7 days a week.


We’ve been working with Australia Post for over 85 years to bring banking services to millions of Australians through all Australia Post retail outlets. We offer transactional banking services for business clients at more than 300 Australia Post agencies across metropolitan and regional areas.

Customer demand for day to day branch transaction services is declining, with more than four out of five transactions now conducted electronically. Regardless, we do not close a branch without ensuring that alternative Commonwealth Bank face to face banking services are available. Where a branch closure occurs in a rural and remote location, we provide minimum 24 weeks written notice to customers of the branch and relevant community organisations, including local government.
