Code of Banking Practice

The Commonwealth Bank is a signatory to the revised Code of Banking Practice.
The Code of Banking Practice requires us to make available to you general information on a range of banking matters, including:

  • the rights and obligations of all parties in a banker/customer relationship
  • how we handle your personal information
  • what to do if you are in financial difficulty
  • what to do if you have a complaint

 

For your benefit, we have published a booklet called The Better Banking Book, which contains all the above information and more.  Copies are also available from any branch, or by calling 13 22 21 between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday.
