Our communities are full of unsung heroes from all walks of life: sports coaches, volunteers and charity workers, to name a few. Regardless of which field they come from, they have one thing in common - their commitment to putting others before themselves. But now it's time to do something for them. By nominating someone who makes you proud you can help recognise those making a difference to Australia.

On 25 January 2012 the Prime Minister announced 2012 Australian of the Year, Senior Australia of the Year, Young Australian of the Year and Local Hero recipients. Commonwealth Bank congratulate all four recipients.
