Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Australian men, causing a similar number of deaths in men as breast cancer does in women. Yet in general, men feel less informed about Prostate Cancer then women do about Breast Cancer.

That's what makes the work of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia so important.

Our partnership with the Foundation began when we helped them develop Australia's first tissue bank for research into the disease.

We’re hosting BBQs across Australia to help fight Prostate Cancer

Each year prostate cancer claims as many men as breast cancer does women. We think that’s far too many Australian men, which is why we’ve partnered with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia as major sponsor of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September.

Come along to our branch barbeques this September

Many of our branches will be hosting a barbecue to raise awareness along with some much-needed funds to help in the fight against prostate cancer.

We invite you to bring your family and friends along, so we can all work towards keeping more Aussie families together. Keep an eye out for a BBQ in your local area, or if you can’t make it, you can drop in and make a donation at any Commonwealth Bank branch.
