Employee giving

There are two Bank-funded programs that provide opportunities for our employees to give back to the communities in which they live and work.

Staff Community Fund

The Commonwealth Bank’s Staff Community Fund is dedicated to supporting organisations that champion the health and wellbeing of Australian children. The Staff Community Fund was founded in 1917 and is Australia’s longest running employee workplace giving program. It is supported and paid for by the Group so all staff donations go straight to the community groups receiving funding.

Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN)

We provide funding and support for the Australian Business and Community Network. ABCN aims to inspire, challenge and engage businesses to have a greater positive impact in the community. As a member of the ABCN, we help to run programs that mentor students, provide support and mentoring for high school principals, and support reading and literacy for students.

Volunteering

We believe our employees should have access to a range of volunteering programs that can be undertaken both in and outside of their work hours. Many of our charity partnerships include opportunities for volunteering.
