Marist Regional College, located in Burnie, will run a Financial Literacy Week with its Financial Literacy Grant. Year 10 students will organise the event and develop an exhibition for pupils and parents, showcasing their business plans and inviting a guest speaker who will talk about the importance of understanding money. Finance Flick Tips

Located in rural north west Tasmania, Sheffield School received a Financial Literacy Grant for its ‘Finance Flick Tips’ program, for Year 9 and 10 students. As part of the program and in a bid to spread the financial word throughout the school, students will learn about and then produce brief personal finance tips on video. The video clips will then be shown in school assemblies and on the school’s online network, with students quizzed weekly on the content of this information.
