

Just as lawyers do pro bono work, supplying their expertise free of charge to help not-for-profit organisations, Commonwealth Bank staff volunteer their abilities to give back to the community.
Our staff participate in a range of skilled volunteering activities such as marketing support, human resources advice and website development. For example, staff from our IT department developed a website for a local public school. Our staff also visit remote Indigenous communities to help Indigenous customers learn to use internet banking services effectively.
While we have to make sure our staff don’t do anything that involves providing financial advice or that results in a conflict of interest, there’s no shortage of organisations our staff would love to help.
