VO: Beautiful fish for sale, and Tom wants one. But he’ll need more than that.

TOM PEERS IN A PET SHOP WINDOW, MARVELLING AT AN ANGEL FISH. HE SEARCHES HIS POCKETS TO SEE IF HE HAS ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY THE FISH, BUT HE ONLY HAS A FEW DOLLARS.

VO: At school, the Commonwealth Bank teaches him the virtues of saving money.

A FEMALE COMMONWEALTH BANKER IS ENGAGING TEN-YEAR-OLD KIDS IN A STORY ABOUT SAVINGS. A FEMALE SCHOOLTEACHER SITS OFF TO ONE SIDE. THE BANKER IS VERY ANIMATED, GESTURING AND DRAWING A LARGE PICTURE OF COINS ON THE BLACKBOARD WITH ARROWS POINTING TO A MONEY TIN AND DEPOSIT BOOK. EVERYONE’S FASCINATED. TOM SITS AT HIS DESK, PUTTING COINS INTO HIS MONEY TIN.

VO: Tom begins to think that a pet fish might be possible after all. Insights like these are common during School Banking discussions.

WE SEE TOM WALKING OUT OF THE PET STORE, SMILING. HE’S HOLDING A LITTLE PLASTIC TANK WITH A FISH INSIDE.

VO: And soon enough, his saving skills pay off.

WE CUT TO TOM AT NIGHT PLACING THE TANK OUTSIDE A BEDROOM DOOR. IT NOW HAS A BOW AROUND IT AND A CARD ON TOP READING “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLIVIA”.

IN THE MORNING, A LITTLE GIRL (OLIVIA) OPENS HER DOOR TO FIND THE LITTLE BOX. SHE’S SO EXCITED! SHE OPENS THE BOX…AND DISCOVERS THE FISH. WE ZOOM IN CLOSE ON HER FACE…HER EYES WIDEN WITH REPULSION…THEN WE ZOOM IN ON THE FISH’S FACE… OLIVIA’S ABOUT TO SHRIEK IN SHOCK.

VO: Even buying a delightful pet fish for your little sister.

WE SEE THE LITTLE BOY IN HIS BEDROOM. WE HEAR HIS SISTER SCREAM, AND HE GIVES A SLY GIGGLE.

VO: Who one day, will complete her sweet revenge.

THE LITTLE GIRL SITS IN HER ROOM. SHE CRACKS A MISCHIEVOUS SMILE. NEXT TO HER ON HER BEDROOM SHELF IS HER TIN MONEY BOX.
