Commonwealth Bank assists Credit Card holders to obtain refunds

The Commonwealth Bank today announced that as a result of the cessation of Ansett operations, it has implemented a refund program for any of its customers who have not been able to access the Ansett services paid for with a Commonwealth Bank credit card.

The Bank is seeking to assist customers who have purchased Ansett tickets with a Commonwealth Bank credit card to gain full refunds quickly.

Credit card customers who have purchased Ansett tickets with a Commonwealth Bank credit card are asked to take the following actions to ensure speedy refunds:

• Customers who purchased tickets with a Commonwealth Bank credit card for flights where no service is supplied, can request a refund for the value of the purchase by calling our Customer service Line on 13 22 21.
• Customers who find themselves stranded and in need of a temporary credit limit increase as a result of the crisis should contact our Customer Service Line on 13 22 21.
• Gold credit card holders who have purchased International Travel with Ansett should lodge claims against their complimentary International Travel Insurance by contacting Zurich Insurance on 13 2687.

The Commonwealth Bank is working closely with the acquirer of Ansett credit card transactions to ensure that refunds to our cardholders are processed as quickly as possible during this crisis.
