Announcement regarding Enron Corporation Inc

The Commonwealth Bank advises that it has credit exposure to Enron Corporation Inc in two categories:
-
1) AUD44 million fully covered by a matching transaction with another bank in respect of which the Commonwealth Bank does not expect any loss, and
-
2) A contingent exposure of less than the equivalent of AUD 100 million in respect of which no event has yet occurred to crystallise the exposure.
