Commonwealth Awards welcomes Velocity Awards

The Commonwealth Bank today announced that it has enhanced its credit card Awards program through the addition of Velocity Rewards,the loyalty program of Virgin Blue.

The partnership with Velocity Rewards gives Commonwealth Awards members the opportunity to transfer their Commonwealth Award points to Velocity Rewards. Members will be able to redeem for any available seat, any flight, any time with Virgin Blue and Velocity’s Partner Airlines; as well as car hire, accommodation, entertainment and more.  Velocity Rewards is an exciting addition to the wide range of Awards partners and choices already available through the Commonwealth Awards program.

Commonwealth Awards customers wishing to transfer their Commonwealth Awards points to Velocity Rewards should be a current Velocity Member, and can join for free by applying online at www.velocityrewards.com.au/content/AboutTheProgram/JoinNow/index.htm

If customers transfer their Commonwealth Awards points to Velocity before midnight 30 November 2008, they will receive an additional 25% bonus Velocity Points.

Customers seeking additional information can access the Commonwealth Awards website or Service Centre on 13 16 61 between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
