Commonwealth Bank Assistance to Victims of Bali Appeal

The Commonwealth Bank today advised that it is not the bank referred to in media reports relating to the charging of fees for collecting donations to the appeal.

The Commonwealth Bank’s longstanding support of the community includes its participation in numerous appeals for victims of national or natural disasters by collecting deposits through its branch network, free of bank fees.

In the case of the Bali appeal, the Bank also donated $500,000 towards assisting the victims.
