David Cohen
General Counsel
David Cohen joined the Commonwealth Bank as General Counsel in June 2008.
David advises the CEO and the Board on legal matters, and leads the Group's
legal team.
Prior to joining the Group, David had been General Counsel of AMP since 2003.
David has extensive knowledge of the financial services industry and
wide-ranging legal experience. Before joining AMP he had been a partner with
Allens Arthur Robinson for 12 years.
David is a fellow of the Australian Property Institute, and a member of the Law
Council of Australia, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and the
Banking and Financial Services Law Association.
David holds the degrees of BA LLB (Sydney). He is married with four children
and enjoys surfing, skiing, tennis and the theatre.
