Rob Jesudason

Group Head of Strategy

Rob Jesudason is the Commonwealth Bank’s Group Head of Strategy with responsibility for Group Strategic Development, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and also Process Excellence.  Rob joined the Group in December 2011.

Prior to joining CBA, Rob was Managing Director of Credit Suisse and Head of Global Emerging Markets team within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), based in Hong Kong. FIG spans the Financial Institutions coverage teams across APAC, CEEMEA and Latin America.  FIG is responsible for investment banking coverage of banks, insurance companies, securities firms, asset management companies and stock exchanges, providing such clients with M&A, equity capital markets and financing advice.

Mr. Jesudason joined Credit Suisse in October 2007 as Head of the APAC Financial Institutions Group from JP Morgan, where he was a Managing Director in the Asian special situations group responsible for investments in financial services. Prior to this, Mr. Jesudason worked at Barclays PLC as Global Head of Corporate Development.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Jesudason worked at GE Capital both in their European and Japanese M&A teams and within their insurance business. He was an Associate Principal in McKinsey's Corporate Finance and Strategy practice.

Mr. Jesudason holds a Bachelor of Science in Managerial and Administrative Studies from Aston University in Birmingham, UK.
