We have been measuring and voluntarily disclosing our energy use and greenhouse emissions since 2001.
We are subject to the Federal Government’s Energy Efficiency Opportunity Act (EEO Act). The EEO Act provides a framework for identifying cost-effective energy savings initiatives. We report annually on our progress in identifying and implementing energy savings initiatives.
We are also captured under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme and report annually in compliance with the legislation.
Since 2008 we have voluntarily reported our carbon emissions to the Carbon Disclosure Project, an independent not-for-profit organisation that seeks climate-related information from the world’s largest companies on behalf of institutional investors. In 2009 we were recognised by the Carbon Disclosure Project for the quality of our disclosure by achieving a place in the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index, as based on the Global 500 Report, which lists the top 10% of companies world-wide.
The Commonwealth Property Office Fund (CPA) and Direct Property Investment Fund (DPIF) managed under Colonial First State Global Asset Management report separately under the Carbon Disclosure Project.

We are the most recognised brand in the Australian financial services industry.
