Credit approval needs to be in place before you can make commodity
derivative transactions. We have simplified our credit approval process and
empowered our local staff to make decisions on credit.
Below is a list of documents we need from you in the first instance:
- General background to the business – core activities and ownership
structure, experience and qualifications of key decision-makers, current
borrowing and banking arrangements
- Details of current hedge exposures and risk management strategy
- Brief description of the properties, including total hectares, location,
current value, and any further information that you deem useful for the
Bank to know
- For cropping activities, the area under cultivation for the last two years
and the forecast for the current season
- For grazing activities, carrying capacities for the last two seasons and
forecast production for the current season
- Farm gate prices received for the last two seasons
- Financial statements for the last two years for the borrowing entity and
the guarantors, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements. If
financial statements are not available for the most recent year, management
accounts should be provided
Additional information may be required as your application is reviewed and
processed by an agribusiness manager.
We recommend that you meet with one of our agribusiness managers to discuss our
credit approval process in further detail. Contact an agribusiness
manager in your area or please call AgriLine on 1300 245 463. We’re
here to help you and to ensure the process is as smooth as possible.
If you do not want to establish a credit limit, you can opt for our collateral margining
facility. This facility allows you to make agricultural swap
transactions by using an Australian dollar cash deposit as security.
