Brendan
White
Executive General Manager, Regional and Agribusiness
Banking
Brendan joined the Commonwealth Bank in 2002 in its Financial Markets Division, as Head of Client Risk Solutions Victoria/Tasmania then re-located to Sydney two years later to assume the position of Global Head, Financial Markets Sales and Offshore Markets. This client-facing business was responsible for the provision of financial markets product and structured risk management solutions to the Bank's global Institutional and Corporate client base across all products including Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, Commodities and Structured Investments throughout Australia, NZ, Europe, US and Asia.
Prior to joining the Bank Brendan held senior positions at Societe Generale, where he was Head of Treasury for Victoria/SA/WA and British Petroleum, where he gained extensive international experience over a 12 year period in Commodities Hedging and Financial Risk Management in the BP Finance and Treasury divisions in Australasia, US and the UK. This culminated in a three year posting to London to lead the Foreign Exchange and Risk Management teams in BP Finance International.
Brendan was raised in country New South Wales and has a strong affinity with rural and regional Australia. Together with the Agribusiness Leadership Team, Brendan’s vision for Regional and Agribusiness Banking is to be considered the leading financial services provider to rural customers across Australia by providing innovative financial solutions and excellence in client service.
Warwick
Murray
General Manager, Regional and Agribusiness Banking Northern NSW
Warwick has worked as the State Manager of Northern NSW for CBA Agribusiness since December 2006. In June 2008, he amalgamated the Tamworth Corporate Financial Services and Local Business Bankers into the Northern NSW Regional and Agribusiness team. Warwick currently manages 95 staff.
Prior to joining the Commonwealth Bank, Warwick worked for Rabobank Australia for 11 and a half years. Ten years of this time was spent in Moree, where he established a Rabobank branch in April 1997. His most recent role was Senior Manager of the Moree branch, which covered the cotton growing regions of the Macintyre, Gwydir and Namoi Valleys. This role involved managing a team of agribusiness managers and support staff.
Warwick is originally from a family beef cattle property at Cooplacurripa, near Nowendoc, NSW.
Tim
Harvey
General Manager, Regional and Agribusiness Banking Southern NSW
In his role as State Manager Agribusiness for Southern NSW, which he commenced in October 2006, Tim is responsible for managing 120 staff and overseeing Regional and Agribusiness Banking in the region.
Tim was recruited as part of the Bank’s 1998 graduate program. With the knowledge and skills gained from the program, he became an Assistant Relationship Manager for one of the largest business lending portfolios in Wagga Wagga.
In late 1999, Tim moved into a Credit Analyst role, which involved risk analysis of finance requests for Commercial and Agribusiness clients. From 2000, he was an Agribusiness Specialist, and was recognised as the ‘Best Specialist Sales Consultant’ in Australia.
In 2003, Tim was appointed as the Executive Manager Business Banking –
Riverina Area and
re-segmented the entire business in that year.
Tim completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Agriculture) at CSU Riverina, where he graduated with a distinction and was dux of his course.
Greg
Caust
General Manager, Corporate & Agribusiness Banking WA
Greg Caust is General Manager of the Commonwealth Bank’s Corporate and Agribusiness Banking in Western Australia. He has been involved in the finance industry for over 21 years with the Commonwealth Bank, working in various capacities and locations across Australia. He now leads a team of finance professionals that service a wide range of businesses in metro, regional and rural Western Australia.
He has a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Economics and a Masters of Business Administration specialising in Finance, part of which was completed in Berne, Switzerland.
Greg is married with three children and his hobbies include AFL, Cricket, Camping and supporting his young children in their sporting endeavours.
Kevin
Ryan
General Manager, Regional and Agribusiness Banking VIC/TAS
Kevin joined the Commonwealth Bank in 2000, following the acquisition of the Colonial Group. He has worked in the RBS Marketing unit as Product Manager, Lending Products before moving to Warrnambool (VIC) to manage the Bank’s Business Banking Centre. In 2008 Kevin was appointed as General Manager, Agribusiness VIC/TAS, responsible for nearly 200 staff and maintaining growth in the two states.
His accomplishments include introducing the concept of retail outlets such as coffee shops sharing space with banks. This initiative changed the ambience of our branches and continues to be popular with customers.
Kevin has held a number of diversified roles in the financial services industry, including Marketing Manager of Allfinanz at Colonial, and Franchisee of the Colonial State Bank operation in Collins Street, Melbourne.
While at Colonial, Kevin was selected to undertake postgraduate studies at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, in the US. These studies culminated in work at global market desks in New York and London.
Doug
Snell
General Manager, Regional and Agribusiness Banking QLD/NT, and Specialised
Agribusiness Solutions
Doug joined the team in October 2009 from Global Markets Qld, where he held the position of Head of Markets Queensland, Singapore and Hong Kong. Over the past 5 years Doug has held markets leadership positions including Asia, Brisbane and Sydney, he also held a national role as Head of Structured Investments. Doug has been with the Bank for 11 years and has serviced all client sectors from Regional, Corporate, SME’s and IB. His markets experience includes the main asset classes of Liabilities (Investments), Interest Rate Risk Management, Foreign Exchange and Commodities.
Prior to joining CBA, Doug worked for Westpac, where he specialised in International Trade Finance followed by Financial Markets.
Doug has a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment at FINSIA, and has lectured the same course.
