Buying a business or franchise checklist

When you buy either a business, regardless of if it’s a franchise, it’s essential to carry out your own checks to make sure that everything is in place. Verify that the previous owner or the franchisor has a solid and underlying business and proven systems. A great idea is not enough!

To help you determine if a franchise you’re looking to buy is going to be beneficial for you rather than just the franchisor, we prepared this simple checklist to help you do your homework. You can also use this when you are investigating other types of businesses for sale.

To get started, click on either of the download buttons below to open the checklist in PDF or Microsoft Word format, and save a copy to your computer to complete or refer to at a later date.
