Same-day funds

Having an EFTPOS terminal at your point of sale can give you the convenience of real-time authorisations and same-day settlement of funds, 365 day of the year, to your Commonwealth Bank Business Account.

EFTPOS LITE

EFTPOS LITE is a simple, effective EFTPOS solution that allows you to accept and process payments, including mail or telephone orders, from all major debit and credit cards. It offers your customers more ways to pay with transactions that are fast and secure. You can also give your customers instant refunds and cash out for added convenience. With the option of contactless payments, your customers can make purchases of less than $100 simply by tapping their MasterCard® Paypass™ or Visa PayWave card against a contactless reader.

EFTPOS PLUS

EFTPOS PLUS is a full-featured EFTPOS terminal that offers a range of value-added services and advanced features. EFTPOS PLUS offers you more payment options, the convenience of fast and secure settlement and better cash flow. It also allows you to add optional extras, which can help you earn additional revenue and enhance the service you offer your customers.

Optional extras

• XPOS* — Increase your revenue and turn your EFTPOS terminal into a virtual shop by offering more than 200 popular electronic products such as mobile phone cards, gift vouchers and magazine subscriptions. You don’t need to carry any extra stock and you’ll earn a commission for each XPOS product sold. It doesn’t cost you anything to add XPOS to your existing EFTPOS PLUS facility, and it gives you the opportunity to increase foot traffic to your shop.
• Faster transactions — Contactless payments are a fast and secure way of making small purchases as easy as tapping your card. With a MasterCard® Paypass™ or Visa PayWave card, your customers can make purchases of less than $100 simply by tapping their card against a contactless reader.
• BPOINT In Person — Allows your customers to make over-the-counter bill payments at your shop. You’ll earn a commission for every bill paid and the bill payment transaction won’t attract a merchant service fee.
• Currency conversions* — Provide better service for overseas customers by giving them the option of paying in their home currency. With instant conversions it’s fast and simple and offers competitive exchange rates at the point of sale.
• Tipping — Allows cardholders to add a tip to a transaction.
• Pre-Authorisation — Enables you to check if funds are available on the cardholder’s credit card and to reserve the funds without debiting their account.
