Mastercard^® PayPass™

PayPass gives you the option of making purchases of $100 or less at participating merchants without having to provide a signature or PIN. Just ‘tap’ your card on the PayPass reader, wait for the green light and ‘go’.

Secure chip technology

We’ve added a new safety feature called ‘secure chip’ technology to your Debit MasterCard. Your chip card has all the same benefits as a magnetic stripe card but includes an embedded microchip to enhance the security of the card by making it more difficult to fraudulently copy the details of your card.

To ensure you can transact anywhere you go, your chip card also comes with a magnetic stripe.

Unlimited Commonwealth Bank electronic transactions

Enjoy the convenience and security of withdrawing what you need, when you need it. For a low monthly fee of $4 for Smart Access or $6 for Complete Access, you can make unlimited electronic transactions^1&2 through Commonwealth Bank ATMs, EFTPOS, NetBank and unassisted telephone banking, without worrying about incurring extra bank charges.
