What you'll need

Term Deposits

  • A minimum deposit of $5,000
  • Be 18 years old or over if you apply online
  • Existing Commonwealth Bank deposit account numbers (if applicable)
  • Existing Commonwealth Bank debit/credit account numbers (if applicable)
  • If ALL applicants are not existing Commonwealth Bank account holders you will need at least one existing personal bank account. This account will be used to both deposit the funds via BPAY® and to electronically receive the funds at the maturity of your term deposit
  • Your Tax File Number (TFN) or TFN Exemption. It is not an offence to withhold your TFN for the term deposit. However, if you do not quote it, the Bank is required by law to deduct tax from any interest earned on the term deposit above a certain threshold
