Security

Secure Internet Shopping just got safer with NetCode
To help keep you even more protected when you shop online, we have enhanced our current Security Internet Shopping service with NetCode, a single-use password set to your mobile phone or token device.

NetCode is a security feature currently used in our online banking service, NetBank, to authorise certain online transactions or activities.  NetCode will be used to authorise some purchases on websites supported by MasterCard SecureCode^TM. These websites can be easily identified as they will display the logos below.

        

NetCode offers greater security and convenience for online shopping by using a single-use one-time password, instead of having to remember a set password.

Secure chip technology
We’ve added a new safety feature called ‘secure chip’ technology to your Debit MasterCard. Your chip card has all the same benefits as a magnetic strip card but includes an embedded microchip to enhance the security of the card by making it more difficult to fraudulently copy the details of your card.

MasterCard PayPass^TM

PayPass gives you the option of making purchases under $100 at participating merchants without having to provide a signature or PIN. Just ‘tap’ your card on the PayPass reader, wait for the green light and ‘go’.

With a Debit MasterCard, you are able to buy online and over the phone with your own money.
