- Applicants must be permanent Australian residents or have a current
Australian visitors visa
- The primary applicant must be 18 years of age or over
- If you request an additional cardholder, they must be 16 years of age or
over
- To apply for a Student card, you will need to complete a Student
credit card application form and return via:
- fax, to (02) 9635 4200, or
- mail, to Reply Paid 72551, Parramatta, NSW, 2124
- or go into your nearest Commonwealth Bank branch.

- Your gross annual income
- Your employer's details (name and address)
- Details of your own home if you have one (estimated value, amount owing on
the property)
- Details of any existing loans (investment property loans, personal loans,
leasing, credit and store cards)
- Any savings or investments and cheque account details (account numbers and
balances)
- Asset or investment details (value of property, shares, car, furniture and
other assets)

If you're a new Commonwealth Bank customer, you will need to come to any
Commonwealth
Bank branch and provide personal identification, along with the two
most recent original pay-slips for the primary applicant.
Personal Identification documents include one of the following
documents containing your photo:
- Passport
- Australian Drivers / Firearms licence
- Proof of Age card
Or two different documents from this list:
- Birth Certificate
- Citizenship Papers
- Pension Card
- Council rates or utility bill or Australian Taxation Office assessment
notice or overseas drivers licence (only one of these documents may be
used)

- The team at the Commonwealth Bank will assess your application details. If
you're a new customer, we'll ask you to come to a Bank branch with proof of
identity.
- Should we need additional information, a letter confirming our requirements
will be issued within 5 days of application lodgement. If your
application is approved, your card and PIN will be posted separately to the
address you supplied on your application form within 10 working days from the
date all necessary information is received.
