Travel on Awards points with Flight Centre
As a Commonwealth Awards member, from 20 April 2010, you can use your Commonwealth Awards points to book a range of travel services directly with our new travel partner Flight Centre. Simply redeem your points to purchase flights, hotels, cruises, holiday packages and more. If you don’t have enough points, you can use Points Plus Pay which lets you use the points you have and pay the remaining balance on your credit card. As a Commonwealth Awards member you can use your points exclusively at Flight Centre stores, by calling
133 133, or online through the Commonwealth Awards website accessed via NetBank.

Flight Centre guarantees you the lowest airfares out there. And with 840 locations nationwide, that include Escape Travel, Student Flights, Travel Associates and Cruiseabout, their travel experts are sure to find you your ideal getaway.

Feel free to drop in to any Flight Centre store to explore their wide range of holiday options and travel on your Commonwealth Awards points with Flight Centre.

Cash back on your card
You can redeem Commonwealth Awards points for a Cash back award which gives you a credit on your credit card. So when you use your Commonwealth Awards credit card to make a purchase, the awards points you earn can help you pay off your credit card.

Air New Zealand Airpoints™, Velocity Rewards & Qantas Frequent Flyer transfers
Commonwealth Awards points can be redeemed for Velocity Rewards (the loyalty program of Virgin Blue) or Air New Zealand Airpoints™ Dollars provided you're a member of the relevant program. Conditions apply.

Customers wanting to transfer their points to Qantas Frequent Flyer must opt-in to Qantas Frequent Flyer Direct. Once you have opted in then all points earned will be automatically transferred across to Qantas each month. There is a $10 annual fee to opt in to Qantas Frequent Flyer Direct. Redeem your points sooner
You can top up your purchase of selected merchandise and travel sooner with our 'Points Plus Pay' option that combines your awards points and a credit card payment to make a purchase.

Redeeming Commonwealth Awards points

Simply log-on to NetBank and click on the Awards program icon on the 'Home' page, or call the Commonwealth Awards Service on 13 16 61 from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

  Commonwealth Awards Terms and Conditions apply:
  To transfer Commonwealth Awards Points into Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars you must be enrolled in Commonwealth Awards and be a member of the Airpoints™ programme. Your Air New Zealand Airpoints account must be the same name as your Commonwealth Bank Awards credit card account.
  There is a minimum conversion of 4,000 Commonwealth Awards Points.
  Allow 2 business days for the converted points to appear on your Airpoints Account.
