Activate your credit card and create a PIN

Online - Activate your card instantly in NetBank.

To activate your card via NetBank you will need your Client ID, card number and NetBank Password.

Remember, you will need to log out of NetBank and log back in before you will be able to see your new card in NetBank.

After you have activated your card:

• Type and confirm your chosen PIN number
• If you are registered for NetCode SMS you will need to receive and enter a NetCode and then click Submit. If you are registered for a NetCode Token, simply click Submit
• Your card will then be activated and ready to use

1.  Register for online statements

Online statements offer a convenient way to manage your finances, help reduce paper clutter and ease the strain on the environment.

If you register with NetBank for online statements, you can view, save and print up to seven years of past statements and two years of transactions for your credit card account.

2.  Transfer a balance

Looking for a simple way to save on fees and streamline your finances? Transfer the balance of any other Australian issued credit or store cards you have to your Commonwealth Bank credit card and you’ll only pay a low 5.99% p.a. in interest for the first 5 months on the balance you bring across. Please note that the interest free period (up to 55 days) on purchases and most bill payments does not apply to any purchases whist a balance transfer remains outstanding.

3.  Additional Cardholder

Need an additional cardholder? This service is free for all Low Fee, Low Fee Gold, Low Rate or Low Rate Gold credit card holders. For our Awards, Gold Awards, Platinum Awards and Diamond Awards cards, the additional cardholder fee is only $15 p.a.

4.  Switch your direct debits

Want peace of mind on your monthly card payment? Set up Autopay: an automatic direct debit from your savings or transaction account to cover your minimum payment each month or to pay off the total balance. You can also download the direct debit request form (PDF 110KB) and take it into any branch.
