Although property values rose strongly during 2009 there are many suburbs across Australia which are offering first home buyers sound investment opportunities.
As Australia’s leading home lender we have teamed up with RP Data, Australia’s leading property information researcher, to provide an insight into those suburbs which, on average, represent affordable locations for first home buyers.
Across Australia the report identifies more than 27,000 houses and more than 14,000 units sold during the second half of 2009 that are within the purchasing power of the average Commonwealth Bank first home buyer. That’s almost one fifth of all the sales settled during the six month period.
