Your pocket-size property analyst

To make the property search easier and more rewarding, the Commonwealth Bank has partnered with realestate.com.au and rpdata.com to create the CommBank Property Guide. This iPhone app is your pocket-sized personal real estate agent, property analyst and home lender. It’s available free to iPhone users from the Apple iTunes Store – you don’t even have to be a Commonwealth Bank customer.

With this app, you can search through listings of properties for sale or view them on a map, just as you would on your computer at home. If you see a property you like, you can mark it as a favourite and build up a shortlist.

 
Look up property values and market dynamics

Not sure what a property is worth? You can look up the sales history of a property, or a list of recent sales in the area, from rpdata.com’s nationwide database, which covers more than 95 per cent of properties in Australia. You can also view detailed suburb profiles revealing demographics, median price, buying and selling conditions, property hotspots and capital growth trends.

 
Real-world property views

The app uses augmented reality technology to display rich data including past sales history, current property listings and recent sales, all mapped on to a real-world view through your iPhone’s camera. Even if there’s no ‘for sale’ sign outside a property, you can still find out when it most recently sold and what it’s likely to be worth.

It’ll also give you insightful tips and tools including a repayment calculator, step by step home buying guide and helpful videos for first home buyers, renovators and investors.

All this information at your fingertips will help you make smarter property decisions, no matter where you are.
