• There’s no daily transfer limit between your CommBank accounts but a daily limit applies to other transfers
    • $20,000 (max) to unlinked accounts1
    • $5,000 (max) International Money Transfer
    • You can increase your daily transfer limit in NetBank or by going to the CommBank app and searching for ‘increase payment limits’. Increasing your daily limits may increase your liability for unauthorised transactions.
    • Public holidays or weekends may cause a slight delay in your transfer being processed.

Transfer money between CommBank accounts in the CommBank app

  1. Log on to the CommBank app
  2. Tap Pay
  3. Tap Transfer between accounts
  4. Enter the amount, a description (that’s optional) and tap Done
  5. Tap Transfer then confirm when – now, later or create a recurring transfer
  6. Tap Share to email, message or print the Transfer receipt or simply choose Done

Transfer money between CommBank accounts in NetBank

  1. Log on to NetBank
  2. Select Transfers & BPAY
  3. Choose the account you would like to transfer from and to
  4. Enter the amount, a description and confirm when – now, later or set up a regular payment and choose Next
  5. Click Pay to confirm the payment

Transfer money overseas

There are two ways to send money internationally.

1. To someone’s mobile number – it’s quick, easy and secure. 

2. To someone’s international bank account - you’ll need their full name, account name and home address, account number or International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and the SWIFT or Bank Identification Code (BIC) of their bank

 

CommBank app

  1. Log on to the CommBank app
  2. Tap Pay
  3. Tap Pay someone
  4. Choose Overseas transfer and choose to pay by either mobile number or bank account. You can either pay an existing contact or a new one
  5. Enter the destination country
  6. Add recipient’s detail
  7. Double-check the details you’ve entered are correct > Tap Next

NetBank

  1. Log on to NetBank
  2. Select Transfers & BPAY
  3. Choose International money transfer
  4. Enter the destination country
  5. Add recipient’s details

 

Transfer money to someone

CommBank app

  1. Log on to the CommBank app
  2. Tap Pay
  3. Tap Pay someone
  4. Choose to pay by either mobile number or bank account. You can either pay an existing contact or a new one by tapping the + symbol.
  5. Enter the amount and description, select ‘Next’ and then ‘Pay Now’ to confirm payment.
  6. For New payee choose + > Select Bank account > fill in Account nameBSBAccount number 
  7. Double-check the details you’ve entered are correct > Tap Continue with payment 

Alternatively consider using PayID or BeemIt.

NetBank

  1. Log on to NetBank
  2. Select Transfers & BPAY
  3. Choose the account you would like to transfer from
  4. Choose the other account to transfer to or + New payee
  5. For New payee choose Create new > Transfer > fill in Account name, BSB, Account number
  6. Enter the amount, a description (that’s optional) and confirm when – now, later or set up a regular payment and choose Next
  7. Click Pay to confirm the payment

  • 1 An unlinked account is any account which doesn’t appear in your NetBank profile, such as CommBank accounts not in your name (like your friends' or business acquaintances' accounts) or accounts held with other financial institutions. A linked account appears in NetBank with details like balance and transaction information.
