Plan your holiday
- You can schedule a recurring amount of money to be transferred to your
holiday account; this will help boost your savings and help you get to your
holiday sooner.
- Avoid money hassles overseas by organising your travel funds before you
leave. Always have more than one way to access your money when you travel and
consider carrying some foreign cash as well as a Travel Money Card, credit card
or debit card.

- Purchase a Travel Money
Card online. Travel Money is a reloadable prepaid card that holds up to six
currencies. It provides a safe, convenient and simple way to access your money
overseas and can be used wherever MasterCard is accepted.
- Pre-order foreign cash and travellers cheques online for collection at your
nominated Commonwealth Bank branch so you can easily pay for incidentals as
soon as you arrive at your destination.

- At the Commonwealth Bank we're serious about security and keeping you safe
on your travels. Therefore along with the products we've created to make
travelling easy we also have a few suggestions to keep your money safe:
- Let the Bank know what countries you are travelling to and the dates of
your travel. This will ensure we do not freeze your account due to what we
suspect is fraudulent activity on your account;
- View our important information for protecting yourself from ATM threats
such as card
skimming; and
- If you have NetCode SMS, in order to continue receiving your SMS you will
need to have global roaming, if this is not possible please talk to us about
using a NetCode token.
While on holidays
- Our products and services make it easy to keep track of your spending and
know when your travel funds are running low:
- Check your Commonwealth Bank account balances and Travel Money Card balance
online; and
- Keep track of your Credit Card* expenditures and repay your Credit Card
from NetBank while travelling.
- Reload your Travel Money Card on the go via BPAY or top up that travel fund
for a little extra spending money. NetBank lets you transfer funds between
linked accounts and to selected accounts at other Australian financial
Institutions. To confirm or increase your transfer limits (or to obtain
international limit), call the NetBank help desk on (+61) 13 2221, option 4, 24
hours a day, 7 days a week.

money transfers to people overseas.

Living abroad
- If you're living abroad ensure your personal details are accurate and up to
date, you can do this all within NetBank. Simply logon to NetBank, click on the
'Profile and Preferences' tab and select 'My contact details'. If you need to
update your address details to an overseas address then you'll need to login to
NetBank, go to 'Contact me' on 'My contact details' page under the 'Profiles
& Preferences tab'
- If you're using an overseas mobile you won't be able to use NetCode
SMS Security. Please call us on 13 2221 (option 4), 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week, and we'll arrange for a NetCode Token to be sent to you free of
charge.
- You may wish to apply for an increased daily withdrawal limit, which will
allow you to complete International Money Transfers. You can arrange this
before you leave by calling us on 13 2221 (option 4) and we can discuss your
options.
