What's New

Search and export your transactions.

We are delivering a faster transaction search functionally that will be available on every transaction history page. You will also be able to export up to 600 transactions (that’s 10 times more than before) in one go, making it easier to keep your financial records up-to-date.

Supported formats will include Microsoft Money, Quicken (Aus and USA), MYOB, Comma Separated Values (CSV) (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and plain text.

What’s more, in late 2010 NetBank will show all your transactions in real-time to make managing your money even easier. Currently only transactions that are made via NetBank are shown in real time.

AutoPay for credit cards

Never miss a credit card payment. You can now set up a monthly direct debit to automatically make payments to your Commonwealth Bank credit card from another Commonwealth Bank account. You can choose to pay either your minimum monthly payment, a specific amount or your closing balance of your previous credit card statement. You are also able to change these requests within NetBank at anytime as your needs change. Simply visit the ‘Manage account’ tab to set up your monthly payments.

Improved transaction details and easier navigation

We have received some great suggestions from our customers on how to make NetBank easier to use. As a result, the ‘I want to’ menu will no longer automatically pop-up when you hover over the account name on your NetBank home page. The actual date will appear on your transaction history rather than the descriptions of ‘today’ and ‘yesterday’. And the full date will now also be displayed on the transaction receipt page and appear anytime you print this page.

Making transferring money even easier

After listening to your feedback we’ve made a number of small but helpful improvements that you will notice when transferring money within NetBank.

• When you pay a new payee within NetBank, you can choose to save them to your address book without having to re-enter their details. 
• Your available daily 3^rd party and BPAY transfer limits are now displayed, so you know how much more you can transfer each day. NetBank also lets you change your transfer limits instantly to suit your changing needs.
• To help you transfer money even quicker, any unnecessary fields will be greyed out, and you can get more information wherever you see the icon.
• After you make a payment, we will now advise you when the funds are expected to be available in the destination account.

Take control of your account address book

Deleting an address book entry now just takes one click. And you can also import and export your Account address book to save you time. This means you can make significant changes in a format that suits you, and then import your entries back into NetBank.

Change your NetBank payment limits

NetBank lets you instantly change your daily limits for International Money Transfers, third party and BPAY payments. Choose and change your limits between $2,000 and $20,000 to best suit your needs. Simply, click on the ‘Security’ tab and select ‘Payment limits’.

Even more info in the one spot

The ‘account information’ page displays everything you need to know in the one place. Not only can you view your balances and products, but also your accrued interest and whether you have turned off paper statements. You can also view your most up to date credit card repayment information and accrued interest details on all your accounts.   And by choosing which quick-links you want to have on your homepage, clicking through to the features you use the most is even quicker.

NetBank is safe and secure

Our Password Strength Indicator helps you see how strong your password is when you are setting up or changing your NetBank password. For additional security we also offer a free NetCode SMS security upgrade that uses a one-time password to authenticate selected transactions. Find out more about NetBank security.

What's Coming

Instant transactions on Credit Cards

When you buy something using your credit card the transaction details can be delayed by the merchant, which is why these transactions do not appear in NetBank straight away.

To help you keep track of spending on your Credit Card, you will soon be able to view pending transactions instantly in NetBank.

Online Statements Page

The new Online statements page makes it easier to see your settings at-a-glance and switch to online statements in a couple of clicks.

Viewing your statements is also done from this page and is easier now that the ‘pop-up blocker’ in Internet Explorer doesn’t stop you seeing the statement.

International Services Page

Organising your overseas travel and international payments has never been easier. NetBank now saves you time by offering the convenience of a new central location for all your overseas travel and international payment needs.

Within minutes you can purchase  a Travel Money Card, loaded with up to six currencies, pre-order foreign cash or traveller cheques and transfer money overseas. Simply go to the ‘Offers and Apply’ tab and select ‘International’ to take advantage of all of these services, available from early July.

Secure Internet Shopping using NetCode

Shopping securely online with your Commonwealth Bank Credit Card will soon be easier.

When purchasing from merchants registered for Secure Internet Shopping, you will be asked to enter a NetCode as an extra security measure rather than having to remember a specific password.

All customers who currently have a Credit Card and are registered for NetCode will automatically receive this security upgrade.

Everything you need to know about NetCode SMS and Secure Internet Shopping will be able to be found under the new Security > NetCode Security tab in NetBank, available from mid July.

Google Search Transactions

Using the power of Google, our new transaction search helps you identify Merchants Details. Enabling you to match your credit card purchases to your NetBank Merchant transactions.  

You will soon be able to click on the transaction description to open a new window displaying the Google search results.

Manage my account page

As we have added more things you can do to manage your accounts in NetBank, the list has become a little bit long.

So we are delivering a streamlined page layout so you can find what you were looking for easily.

Shortcuts from CommBank

Wouldn't it be great if you could be taken straight to a new feature in NetBank after reading about it on commbank.com.au?

With our new shortcuts you can. Click on the link under the product feature you've just read about and it will take you directly to NetBank. Once you have logged in the page displayed will be the feature you were after. It's that simple.
