School Banking Co-ordinators

Help children learn money management skills

School banking co-ordinators

Our School Banking Program has been running since 1931. Indeed, many of us, our parents and even our grandparents first learnt money management skills through the Commonwealth Bank while at school. The program has evolved considerably over time. Students traditionally receive a money box and a transaction book but they are now also supported with a wide range of fun, engaging materials which not only help them learn but also encourage them to save.

School Banking Co-ordinators are vital to the School Banking program. With your help we can create a fun way for children to develop strong money management skills and give them a head start in money matters. Many Co-ordinators who volunteer tell us about the rewarding experience of being able to make a positive difference to the lives of many children.

We appreciate the focus and energy our School Banking Co-ordinators commit to in facilitating the program and have developed various tools to provide continuous support and assistance.

  • You have a dedicated School Banking Specialist to support you, by regularly contacting you and for those in metro locations and major regional centres visiting your school to ensure smooth running of the program. For schools located in country/remote areas, your School Banking Specialist is only a phone call away.
  • In addition to this, the School Banking Helpdesk is available on 1800 674 496 (Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm, Sydney time).
  • The School Banking Web Based System makes things simple and efficient for processing deposits. It is easy to use and can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.
  • A School Banking Handbook and a School Banking Web Based User Guide with all the information you need to know is also provided.

If you would like your school to participate in the School Banking Program speak to your School Principal.
