Our School Banking Program has been running since 1931. Indeed, many of us,
our parents and even our grandparents first learnt money management skills
through the Commonwealth Bank while at school. The program has evolved
considerably over time. Students traditionally receive a money box and a
transaction book but they are now also supported with a wide range of fun,
engaging materials which not only help them learn but also encourage them to
save.
School Banking Co-ordinators are vital to the School Banking program. With
your help we can create a fun way for children to develop strong money
management skills and give them a head start in money matters. Many
Co-ordinators who volunteer tell us about the rewarding experience of being
able to make a positive difference to the lives of many children.
We appreciate the focus and energy our School Banking Co-ordinators commit to in facilitating the program and have developed various tools to provide continuous support and assistance.
