Commonwealth Bank appoints General Counsel

The Commonwealth Bank has today announced the appointment of David Cohen as Group General Counsel.
The Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Ralph Norris said, "I am delighted to have attracted a person of David Cohen’s experience and capability to our senior leadership team. He has a strong financial services and legal background and an extensive knowledge of the financial services industry through his previous roles at Allens Arthur Robinson and AMP".
David joins the Bank from his most recent position of General Counsel AMP where he was responsible for leading the in-house legal, risk management/compliance and company secretariat teams and was Chairman of AMP Superannuation Limited.
David was also a partner of Allens Arthur Robinson and has international experience through his role at Nagashima and Ohno in Japan.
Mr Norris, once again, thanked outgoing General Counsel John O’Sullivan for his contribution to the Bank.
