CommSec launches Australia’s first iPhone share trading application

11 July 2008

CommSec, Australia’s largest online broker has today launched Australia’s first Apple iPhone* share trading application, meaning CommSec customers with an iPhone can now trade from almost anywhere.

Rather than just accessing a website through the iPhone, the new purpose-built CommSec iPhone Edition enables customers to make the most of iPhone touch-screen functionality.

Matt Comyn, Managing Director, CommSec said: "CommSec’s iPhone trading application provides clients with even more convenience and accessibility."

CommSec clients with iPhones can login anywhere, keep up to date with market news and prices, research companies and their performance, monitor their stock portfolio, and buy and sell shares.

Mr Comyn added: "In today’s busy environment, CommSec’s iPhone trading application suits a significant proportion of our clients who require instant online access allowing them to place orders anywhere, at anytime.

"This innovative and simple solution for CommSec clients comes at a time when market volatility requires them to be able to manage and trade their portfolios from any location.

"CommSec was the first to bring online trading to the Australian market, and has recently been first to market with ASX CFD’s, integrated Cash Management and now iPhone trading. We are dedicated to providing investors with simple, innovative ways to help manage their investments and CommSec’s iPhone Edition is another example of that commitment," Mr Comyn said.
