Five businesses one step closer to a $30,000 boost

Commonwealth Bank announces the 
BetterBusiness Booster finalists

20th June 2012: Commonwealth Bank has today announced the finalists of the BetterBusiness Booster competition, a new initiative to give small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the chance to benefit from over $30,000 worth of business support.

The first phase of the competition, launched in late April, attracted a large number of entries from businesses across the country. Following an extensive review, an expert panel of judges has today named the top five businesses that now go through to the public vote:

  • DVE Solutions, providers of information management solutions, Mount Baker SA
  • Jodie McGregor Flowers, award-winning florist, Annandale NSW
  • Hooker Boats, manufacturers of fiberglass boats, Bungalow QLD
  • Bodyology Physical Performance Solutions, helping individual’s realise their potential in health and performance, Notting Hill VIC
  • Bunbury Veterinary Clinic, delivering medical help to pets in need, Bunbury WA

The finalists will now go head-to-head in a public vote for the chance to win a $10,000 cash injection, 12 months of business coaching from renowned small business expert Peter Switzer and a feature profile on the Bank’s Facebook page.

Hosted on Commonwealth Bank’s Business Facebook page, the public are invited to review the finalist video profiles and vote for their favourite. Just by voting, one lucky individual will also have the chance to win $10,000.

The public vote is open from Wednesday, 20th June 2012 until Tuesday, 3rd July 2012.
