CommBank cuts Three-Year Fixed Rate Home Loans

Friday, 7 June 2013: Commonwealth Bank today announced it has cut interest rates on new Three-Year Fixed Rate Home Loans to 4.991 per cent per annum.

This rate change means Commonwealth Bank’s Three-Year Fixed Rate Home Loan is now one of the lowest of all the major banks.

Clive van Horen, Acting Executive General Manager for Retail Products and Customers, Commonwealth Bank said Fixed Rate Home Loans are currently popular amongst home buyers. “Our Fixed Rate Home Loans are now at a 23-year low. Many customers looking for greater certainty believe now is a great time to lock in their rate.

“We are increasingly seeing our customers choosing to fix all, or part of their home loans.” Mr van Horen said.

The new interest rate will be available to customers taking out a new Fixed Rate Home Loan from today, Friday, 7 June 2013.
