COMMONWEALTH BANK ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS TYPHOON HAIYAN APPEAL
All Commonwealth Bank branches across Australia are accepting donations for the Australian Red Cross Typhoon Haiyan Appeal.
Typhoon Haiyan, one of the most powerful on record, has devastated communities across the Philippines and nearby regions.
Donations to help the communities affected by the typhoon, including those in the Philippines and Vietnam, can be made through any Commonwealth Bank branch across Australia, online at www.redcross.org.au or by calling 1800 811 700.
Specifically, donations will enable:
- emergency relief, rehabilitation and recovery assistance;
- water and sanitation, shelter and health initiatives in affected areas;
- sending specialist aid workers to assist in initial assessments, relief, recovery and longer term disaster management operations; and
- supporting Red Cross Red Crescent longer term work in the affected areas.
