Through our partnerships with the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia we are helping to combat two of the nation's most devastating diseases. Over the past 17 years, we’ve raised more than $8 million for research in these illnesses.
Breast Cancer Institute of Australia
With one in nine women being diagnosed in their lifetime, breast cancer is something that affects all Australians.
That’s why for more than 19 years, the Commonwealth Bank has supported the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia in raising funds for vital research. So far, our efforts have helped to raise over $3.1 million.
Australian Women's Health Diary 2015
By purchasing the 2015 Australian Women’s Health Diary from October 1, you’re supporting life-saving research into breast cancer.
You can buy your own Australian Women’s Health Diary from any Commonwealth Bank branch from 1 October 2014.
This October, Commonwealth Bank customers can also use their credit card reward points to make a donation to the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia, or to purchase the Australian Women’s Health Diary 2015.
Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Australian men, causing a similar number of deaths in men as breast cancer does in women. Yet in general, men feel less informed about Prostate Cancer than women do about Breast Cancer. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia as major sponsor of the Big Aussie Barbie campaign held throughout September.
Once again, many of our branches will be holding their own Big Aussie Barbie or blue-themed fundraiser during September, so to get involved, visit your local branch to find out about activity happening in your area, or visit www.bigaussiebarbie.com.au to register to host your own fundraiser.
