Top three tips to cut down the time you spend on financial admin

Last year we commissioned researchlooking into the everyday money habits of Australians. One of the key things we found was that the majority of Australians spend on average over two hours a month managing their everyday finances. Our research also found that a lack of time is one of the main barriers to Australians getting on top of their finances.

    Save time on important admin:

    Ever need proof of your account balance for a real estate agent or a copy of your most recent account statement for that rental property? Or perhaps you need to confirm your identity during a visa application or recruitment process. One way to save time and better prepare for these documents is to organise it online. In NetBank, you can download, email and print account statements as well as account confirmation or balance confirmation letter, which confirms your balance or account information along with your name and address.1 If you’re on the go, you can also email a Proof of Balance document straight from the CommBank app.

    Keep your cool with a lost card:

    It can be a disorientating moment when you’re about to make that purchase and realise your card is missing from your wallet. With the CommBank app and NetBank, you can put an immediate temporary lock on your card while you look for it. If you find your card, you can then instantly remove the lock.1 If the card is lost or stolen, you can also use the app to report and cancel your card to prevent unauthorised transactions; or simply order a replacement card and receive it within seven business days.
