Becoming an accredited broker

To become an accredited Asset Finance or Commercial Finance broker with CommBank your Business Intermediary Group (Aggregator) must hold a Business Intermediary Agreement with the Bank and you are required to;

  • Be a professional broker with a minimum of two years’ experience
  • Be a member of an appropriate industry body
  • Be a member of an approved Dispute Resolution Scheme
  • Be willing to enter into a Business Intermediary Agreement
  • Have professional indemnity insurance (with a minimum of $1 million cover for asset finance or $2 million cover for commercial finance)

Individual brokers need to complete our Nominee Application form for Accreditation.

Platinum broker program

Invitations to our exclusive Platinum broker program are extended at the Bank’s discretion and based on;

  • Willingness to enter into a Business Intermediary Agreement
  • Satisfying accreditation criteria
  • Ability to provide at least $6m of Asset Finance transactions annually
  • Ability to consistently provide transactions of an acceptable quality
  • Annual business and accreditation review
