Stay on top of your money 24/7 by setting up free Real-time Alerts in NetBank. Get an alert via email, SMS or CommBank app notifications when:

  • Your account balance goes below or above a specific balance
  • You’ve received a payment.

You’ll receive app notifications as a default option if you have the CommBank app.

Real-time Alerts are free for CommBank customers. Alerts help you manage your money to make sure there’s enough in your account for day to day expenses, meet upcoming bill payments and avoid overdrawing approval fees.

For business customers, you can be notified of cash flow changes such as receiving payments from customers, or avoid overdrawing approval fees when your balance is low.

Things you should know:

Our new Real-time Alerts service is available for selected Business Transaction Account, Streamline Account, Smart Access Account and Complete Access Account holders at this time.

The Bank does not charge for the NetBank Alerts service, but you may incur message and data charges from your telecommunications service provider. Alerts are sent in real-time 24/7. Alerts may be suspended by the Bank at any time without notice. Delivery of alerts may be delayed for various reasons, including service outages affecting your phone, wireless or internet provider; technology failures; and system capacity limitations.
