What's changing?

We’re simplifying our Awards credit card range, so you’ll soon no longer be able to use your Gold Awards card.

To ensure that you continue to get great value, we’re upgrading you (and your additional cardholder, if you have one) to a new Platinum Awards card at no extra cost.

What this means for you

  • With your upgrade, there’ll be no change to your annual fee, credit limit, or the interest rates and fees you pay
  • Your existing Awards points will automatically be transferred to your new Platinum Awards card within 10 business days of activating it
  • You can now take advantage of additional travel insurance cover and greater points earn potential with your new card2
  • You’ll continue to earn 1 point per $1 spent using your Mastercard®  or Visa card, making it easy to earn points3
  • From 1 November 2018, we’re closing all CommBank American Express Cards. Until then, you can continue to use your American Express® Card as you normally would with no change to the points earned per $1 spent or to the benefits you currently receive4
