What's covered

When you activate your insurance in NetBank or the CommBank app, you’ll receive a policy with a high level of included cover - here’s an overview of what’s included. 

Key benefits

Our insurance covers more than you - your spouse or partner and up to 10 dependent children travelling with you are also covered if they travel with you for the entire journey. To have a comprehensive level of cover, you must include their details when you activate your policy for them to be covered.

How it works

Get cover in three easy steps:

  1. Activate via NetBank or the CommBank app
    - For NetBank, go to: Settings > Travel Insurance activation
    - For the CommBank app, go to: top left drop down > Overseas Travel > Get travel insurance
  2. Add optional extras
    Extend your cover by purchasing upgrade options such as increased cover for Rental vehicle excess, increased Snow cover or increased Cruise cover.^
  3. Receive your Certificate of Insurance
    Your Certificate will be emailed to you with your personalised policy number and cover details.

 

You can also activate your cover by calling Allianz Global Assistance on 1800 837 177 or +61 7 3377 3988.

If you activate while travelling there will be a 3 day waiting period before you receive the activated level of cover.*

If you don’t activate you’ll receive Base cover which includes personal liability cover, unlimited overseas assistance cover and unlimited overseas medical & hospital expenses cover.*

When you're away

Don’t forget to take a copy of your Certificate of Insurance with you. It includes your policy number and contact details if you need assistance. You received this via email when you purchased your cover.
