    To get a quote you’ll go to the Allianz Global Assistance’s travel site#^

  • 2. Additional options

    Upgrade your cover. Buy optional packs for adventure, snow, cruise and rental vehicle insurance excess

  • 3. Accept the quote

    Pay online and you’ll receive, via email, your Certificate of Insurance with your policy number and cover details

Don’t forget to take a copy of your Certificate of Insurance with you. It includes your policy number and contact details if you need assistance.

Additional options

You’ll have the option of purchasing specialised cover for your trip by upgrading to one of the additional optional packs – adventure, snow, cruise or rental vehicle insurance excess#.

  • Optional cover to your Comprehensive, Multi-trip or Domestic plan for an additional premium
  • Unlimited medical cover while cruising
  • Plus cover for:-  emergency dental, evacuation ship to shore, lost or damaged formal cruise clothes, pre-paid shore excursion cancellation, cabin confinement due to illness or injury and marine rescue diversion.

  • Optional extra cover to your Comprehensive, Multi-trip or Domestic plan for an additional premium
  • Cover for:- emergency rescue, hire, repair or replacement of snow sports equipment, alternative ski arrangements due to weather conditions. 

  • Optional extra cover to your Comprehensive, Multi-trip or Domestic plan for an additional premium
  • If you rent a vehicle with a higher excess than the already included cover.

  • Designed for the intrepid traveller. It covers a range of more adventurous sports activities not automatically covered in your policy.

What's not covered

Understanding what is and isn’t covered before you go can help ensure the cover offered is right for your needs.

  • Like any insurance, there are some exclusions and limitations you should be mindful of before you go.#
  • Some activities you may wish to do may be considered dangerous and aren’t covered.
  • For unlimited medical cover whilst cruising you need to buy the Cruise pack in addition to one of the specified plans #
  • Additional packs  - cruise, ski, adventure or rental vehicle insurance excess are only available if you’ve purchased one of the specified plans.#

Over 74 years of age

  • Snow pack not available.

 

Cover if you’re a temporary resident of Australia

  • Comprehensive plan only
  • Departing temporarily overseas
  • Journey starts and ends in Australia
  • You will receive cover for the listed free pre-existing conditions; however, you’re not able to add cover for other pre-existing medical conditions.

Managing your policy

Once you have purchased your policy it’s easy to manage, simply click on the button to perform any of these tasks:

How to claim

Medical, hospital and dental claims

  • For medical, hospital or dental claims contact Allianz Global Assistance as soon as practically possible. Call +61 7 3305 7499 (reverse charge from overseas) or 1800 010 075 (within Australia) at any time.

Report lost, stolen or damaged belongings

  • Report the loss or theft of your luggage and personal effects to the local police immediately.
  • Report damage or misplacement of your luggage and personal effects, caused by the airline or any other operator or accommodation provider, to an appropriate official.
  • Ensure you obtain a copy of the official report to support your claim (including any offer of settlement made to you).
  • Please refer to the CBA Travel Insurance Product Disclosure Statement for more information about what you need to do to make a claim.

  • Your travel insurance claim may require different supporting documentation (e.g. medical reports, invoices, purchase receipts, and/or police reports)
  • To make a travel insurance claim, visit Allianz Global Assistance claims website or call on 1800 837 177 or  +61 7 3377 3988 at any time (select from available options).
  • Remember you must submit full details of your claim within 30 days of your return home.

Things you should know

The 10% discount can be redeemed online or by calling our customer service team. The discount applies to the total price of any CBA Travel Insurance policies purchased between 8 November 2017 and 31 December 2017, including any add-on packs and pre-existing medical cover. The discount does not apply for policies already purchased or for policies that have commenced but not expired.
