How do I add/delete/modify NetBank Transfer groups?

The transfer groups function enables you to combine a number of accounts that you regularly make payments to in a single group, paying wages for example. Instead of transferring funds to these accounts individually, you can create a transfer group and transfer funds to all the accounts in one go. The transfer will appear on your 'From' account as one transaction. Fees may be applicable when importing a file and making a Group transfer - find out more.)

Note: You may be prompted for either of the following enhanced security options on the Confirmation page:

  • Answer two personalised identification questions or
  • Enter a NetCode - key in the NetCode received via SMS or the CommBank app to your mobile phone into the Enter your NetCode field

To add a transfer group:

  1. Go to the Transfers & BPAY tab, select Transfer groups & import files
  2. Click Create New Group and then add a new transfer group by typing in the group name
  3. Complete the details for non-linked accounts in the fields provided. Click the 'Add another account' button to enter more accounts to add to the group
  4. All accounts must have an Amount and To account description. When finished, select the Next button
  5. Check the new group details and select CONFIRM to proceed or Cancel to go back and change the details
  6. The page will refresh with the new transfer group added to the list. The transfer group has now been added to your transfer group listing

To make a copy of an existing transfer group:

  1. Go to the Transfers & BPAY tab then select Transfer groups & import files, enter a group name then select the transfer group you wish to copy by selecting the Copy as existing group then select the group from the drop down box
  2. Click the Create new group button
  3. When the Copy group page is displayed you can change the group name again if you like. The new name of the transfer group that is being copied needs to be different from the other transfer group
  4. Click on Copy Group
  5. The copied transfer group will now be added to your scheduled transfer listing

To delete a transfer group:

  1. Go to the Transfers & BPAY tab then select Transfer groups & import files, select the transfer group that you wish to remove by selecting bin icon next to the transfer group
  2. The Transfer group - Delete Group page will be displayed. If the details are correct, confirm the deletion by clicking the DELETE button

To modify a transfer group:

  1. Go to the Transfers & BPAY tab then select Transfer groups & import files, select the transfer group you wish to alter by clicking on the group name
  2. When the Manage group page is displayed, if you wish to delete an account or accounts from the transfer group click the Delete box next to the accounts to be deleted and the Save changes button
  3. The Confirm group details pop-up will be displayed. If the details are correct click the CONFIRM button for changes to existing accounts or adding accounts to the group
  4. You’ll be given a reference number before going back to the Transfer group page with your revised transfer group.
  5. Note: To add new accounts to the group, click the Add more accounts to this group button. Complete the details for non-linked accounts in the fields provided. Click the Add another account button to enter more accounts to add to the group. All accounts must have an Amount and To account description. When finished, select the Save changes  button. If you wish to modify the amount or the To account description, simply type over the details that you wish to change.
