Women in Focus
Women in Focus is committed to achieving lasting social change and empowerment for all women. That's why we've created the Women in Focus Giving Community, to raise funds for programs that support women who face challenges accessing the opportunities they need to thrive, building their capability and confidence in three key areas: education, business skills and financial wellbeing.
By coming together to support programs like these throughout the year, we believe we can make a lasting impact on improving the quality of life of women, their families and their communities. As a collective, we can build a better world for women.
To ensure women are equipped with the knowledge and ability to participate in their communities and access further opportunities.
To provide women with access to the business skills, mentors and networks they need to build sustainable businesses and create their own financial security.
To empower women with the tools and information that support their own financial literacy and independence.
Since 2018, we have supported programs building capability and confidence in women.
A mentoring program to accelerate the careers of Indigenous women, facilitated by Career Trackers in partnership with the Sydney Community Foundation Sydney Women’s Fund.
An organisation that harnesses the power of collective investment between government, business and philanthropy to build vibrant, sustainable and adaptive communities across rural, regional and remote Australia.
A small business startup program established by Settlement Services International that supports refugees, other newcomers and people with a disability to establish and operate their own businesses.
A program that seeks to empower migrant and refugee women. Supported by the Sydney Community Foundation Sydney Women’s Fund, it promotes community belonging and practical skills, and links the women to employment pathways and business enterprise.
A program run by Global Sisters that supports women who are excluded from workforce participation to establish and grow sustainable businesses. The initiative provides a pathway for women to become financially independent and create a ripple effect of positive change in their communities.
A national harm prevention initiative to support Australian girls, created by the Dugdale Trust for Women & Girls (with the Victorian Women’s Trust as Trustee). A bit like a big sister, the platform guides girls in navigating the world around them.
A financial wellbeing resource created by WIRE to promote women’s financial literacy. The platform educates women about money and relationships, including how to discuss finances with their partners and the important issue of financial abuse.
