The Australian Financial Literacy Assessment (AFLA) is a tool for teachers to develop and assess students’ skills in financial literacy and to identify students’ individual financial literacy strengths and weaknesses.
The assessment is designed to help schools measure students’ learning, competency and understanding of financial literacy and identify improvements in these areas over time. It was made available for the first time in 2005 at no cost to students in Years 9-10 throughout Australia.
From 2008, AFLA is being delivered online as a Pre-learning and Post-learning Assessment. Register now.
The Pre-learning Assessment period runs from 16 February – 12 June 2009.
The Post-learning Assessment period runs from 13 July – 6 November 2009.
Educational Assessment Australia AFLA was developed by Educational Assessment Australia (EAA), part of the University of New South Wales. EAA is a respected provider of quality educational measurement and assessment services in Australia.
