Wheels of Wellness is a charity providing primary and allied healthcare to people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness in Cairns, Far North Queensland. Their dedicated team of compassionate professionals provides accessible, holistic care that supports the health, wellbeing and dignity of some of the community’s most vulnerable members.
The charity was nominated by the Earlville branch in recognition of the compassion and practical support it provides to individuals experiencing vulnerability and hardship within the community.
This donation will enable Wheels of Wellness to purchase medical equipment to help support their mission.
Men’s Shed Alice Springs is dedicated to bringing men together to support one another, promote positive lifestyles and strengthen the local community.
Our Alice Springs branch chose Men’s Shed Alice Springs to help sustain its ongoing programs, enabling the Men’s Shed to continue to make a lasting impact amongst the Alice Springs community.
This donation will contribute to ongoing upgrades to their shed, including the expansion and construction of a mezzanine area. The additional space will allow them to offer a broader range of activities for members and visitors, while also creating a welcoming social space for the community to connect.
Urban FoodCare is a low-cost grocery and fresh food shop in Menai, Sutherland Shire, supporting individuals and families experiencing short or long-term financial hardship to access essential food and necessities.
Our Menai Market Place branch chose Urban FoodCare because food-relief organisations can turn donations into significantly more food than retail purchasing, making every contribution go further.
This donation will be put towards Christmas Hampers for those in need during the festive season.
The Greenwood Toy Library is a nonprofit organisation which provides an extensive range of toys for its members to borrow. It has been part of the community since 1992, providing local families with affordable access to a wide range of toys that support children’s learning, development and play.
Our Warwick branch chose Greenwood Toy Library because of the benefit it provides to young families in the area.
This donation will be put towards purchasing new toys to add to the Library’s range of quality toys.
Kensington Neighbourhood House is a community managed charity that fosters social connection through affordable activities, volunteering, education and training opportunities.
Our Moonee Ponds branch chose Kensington Neighbourhood House in recognition of its long-standing commitment to supporting mental wellbeing, strengthening community connections and reducing social isolation.
This donation will be put towards the cost of learning resources for the weekly Study Support Program, supporting over 60 children with literacy and numeracy tutoring.
The Southern Barossa Men’s Shed encourages and promotes participation in Men’s Shed activities to advance mental and physical health and to prevent or relieve social isolation of males in the Southern Barossa region.
Our Nuriootpa branch selected Southern Barossa Men’s Shed in recognition of the important role it plays in bringing people together, fostering connection and creating a welcoming space for members of the local community. They actively take on projects for local groups including schools and other community groups such as cabinetry and metalwork.
This donation will be put towards fitting out their newly acquired shipping container with electrical wiring so they can utilise this for storage outside of their shed.
It's Our Community Pantry is a local, community‑led charity easing cost‑of‑living pressure by providing affordable access to nutritious food and essentials, plus advocacy and referrals to wrap around services.
Our New Norfolk branch chose It’s Our Community Pantry because of the support and food relief it provides to those experiencing hardship.
This donation has been used to support the Community Connections Corner – a free community pantry and freezer located within the store. The Community Connections Corner provides essential food and household items at no cost to those doing it tough, helping individuals and families bridge the gap during times of hardship.
