Home Insurance discounts

Residential Home Package

• When you apply for a combined buildings and contents cover, you will receive a 10% discount off the cost of your annual base premium. If you apply online, you will receive an additional 5% discount.
• When you apply for either buildings or contents cover online, you will receive a 10% discount off the cost of your annual base premium.

Investment Home Package

• When you apply for a new combined buildings and contents insurance policy for your investment property, you will receive a 5% discount off the cost of your annual premium. If you apply online, you will receive an additional 2.5% discount.
• When you apply for either a buildings or a contents insurance policy online for your investment property, you will receive a 5% discount off the cost of your annual premium.

Selected Excess Options to reduce your premium

You can reduce the premium you pay on your policy by selecting a higher excess option for your building and/or contents.

Available excess amounts are listed below:

Residential Home Package

Selected Excess Options available for building and contents: $0*, $100, $200, $300, $500, $750, $1,000, $2,000, $5,000
* $0 excess option is only available for customers aged 50 years old and over.

Please note, you will only have to pay the excess if you ever need to make a claim.

Investment Home Package

Selected Excess Options available for building and contents: $100, $200, $300, $500, $750, $1,000, $2,000, $5,000

Enjoy even more discounts if you have an alarm system on Residential Home Package

If you have a monitored back to base security system you will receive a 12.5% discount off your annual contents premium.

If you have a local burglar alarm you will receive a 7.5% discount off your annual contents premium.

Car Insurance discounts

When you apply online for a Car Insurance policy, you will receive a 10% discount off the cost of your premium.

No Claim Discount

Our Comprehensive policy can reward you with discounts on your car insurance for good driving and claims history. Our No Claim Discount savings start at 25% and go as high as 70%. We calculate your No Claim Discount by looking at the number of years

you've been driving and your claims and accident history.

Restricted Driver

The Restricted Driver option offers a reduction in premium when drivers under the age of 30 are NOT covered for any loss or damage to your vehicle.

Voluntary Additional Basic Excess

If you choose to pay an excess in addition to the basic excess, you will receive a discount off your premium. The higher your voluntary excess, the larger the discount.

All discounts will be automatically deducted from your annual premium. Discounts only apply to the base premium for buildings, contents, car and travel.
